The game is focused more on exploring new things in the regi on and completing the whole Pokédex, so, this time, your dream will not be being the strongest Pokémon trainer instead, your dream will be being the best Pokémon researcher. This game is slightly easier than the original Fire Red since you can have access to powerful Pokémon (like Mew) before even getting half the badges you can build a balanced team here. WARNING! You may find some spoilers here! If you want to enjoy the full adventure on your own, skip this! The Real Objective in Pokémon Ultra VioletĪ great thing about Pokémon Ultra Violet is that the game doesn’t change any in-game mechanics and inserts difficult battles It will be enough with what you know about Pokémon. Essential Things to Know in Pokémon Ultra Violet So, Pokémon Ultra Violet is designed for those who love Pokémon differently as a completionist. This game has the same adventure that Pokémon Fire Red has, but with a small tweak it will let us catch every Pokémon from Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn. Pokémon Ultra Violet is a ROM hack that doesn’t bring anything outstanding to the table instead, it pleases the first-ever feel that Pokémon lovers have felt while playing: the opportunity to complete a whole Pokédex without needing to trade Pokémon with other people. There’s a lot of people that love to catch them all! That’s why Pokémon Ultra Violet exists. Not gonna lie, this is probably the most hardcore achievement I've ever earned on this site and I'm very much looking forward to finishing it up.Many Pokémon fangames focus on the battles: Some try to develop a whole new battle system, while others insert new Pokémon and new types and change what we know. I just don't get how evolving is what messes this up, because catching pokemon doesn't seem to mess with it at all.just the evolution animation.īut yeah, just wanted to let people know to at least ease the stress of this achievement. And then, whenever you turn off the game, it just treats the game like the credits officially ended and acts in the way it is supposed to (aka: sending you back to your house). So by skipping the credits, the game thinks you are in the credits sequence, so when you do something that isn't supposed to happen, like evolve a Pokemon, it freaks out. My theory is the "credits skip" messes with the ROM, because if I remember correctly, in the vanilla game after you beat the elite four, you are forced into credits and then you go back to the main menu where you re-enter the game and start back at your house in Pallet Town. So yeah, just thought I would give that as a little warning, because I was seriously going ballistic during my stream when this happened. I had to move my save file to another emulator, input a "walk through walls" cheat, just to get back to Lance, and sure enough the 3 other Elite Four members acted like I had beaten them already and Lance was ready to fight. So, I went back to the Elite Four to try again, just for the game to refuse me entrance into the Elite Four because the game was under the impression that I had already beat Lorelei, so it locked me into the entrance, not allowing me to move forward or back. The game crashed, I reopened, and despite saving, it put me back in Pallet Town, even though my Pokemon was at the Level it was when I saved. I saved after beating Agitha, fought and beat Lance, and one of my Pokemon evolved. This became very problematic when I beat the Elite Four, and immediately started another Elite Four session right after. It keeps the progress you made in terms of item collection, time, and pokemon leveling up during that short segway, but it still throws you to Pallet. Even if you save later in a different location, then reset the ROM, you still go back to Pallet Town for some reason. I ran into a problem where after I beat the Elite Four, the next Pokemon Evolution I get crashes the game, forcing me to restart the ROM back at my house in Pallet Town. If you use the Elite Four for Experience Grinding, make sure after every Elite Four fight, you save and reset the rom. A quick note about the "Complete Pokedex" achievement that I want to point out for those looking to tackle that behemoth of a challenge.
